"Live: Hezbollah Poised for Ground Assault as Israel Strikes Lebanon, Deputy Confirms"
In his first statement since the death of leader Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah's deputy chief, Naim Qassem, announced the group's readiness for any Israeli ground invasion, adding that a new leader will be chosen through their established procedures.
Meanwhile, Israel bombed Beirut's Kola area for the first time, targeting beyond the southern suburbs and killing three members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Lebanon's Health Ministry reported that Israeli airstrikes have killed 105 people in the last 24 hours as bombings continue across the country.
Israel has also intensified attacks in Gaza, with 28 people killed in the past day. The Israeli Air Force expanded its campaign to Yemen, striking power plants and seaports in Hodeidah and Ras Isa, resulting in four deaths.
Since October, Israeli attacks in Gaza have left over 41,600 people dead and nearly 96,400 injured. In Israel, 1,139 people were killed during Hamas-led attacks on October 7, and more than 200 were taken hostage.
