**Colorado vs. North Dakota State: Live Updates and Analysis for the 2024 Season Opener**

Colorado kicks off Year 2 of the Prime Time era with a high-profile clash against FCS powerhouse North Dakota State. With over 40 new transfers joining the roster, head coach Deion Sanders, his Heisman Trophy candidate son Shedeur Sanders, and future NFL star Travis Hunter aim to guide the Buffaloes to a bowl game after a 4-8 debut season in 2023. North Dakota State, a formidable opponent with nine FCS national titles since 2011, enters a transition year under new head coach Tim Polasek, but remains a strong contender with a seasoned quarterback and running back.

Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET. Stay tuned to CBS Sports for live updates and in-depth analysis as Colorado faces North Dakota State in Week 1.

**North Dakota State Scores First**

**1Q: North Dakota State 3, Colorado 0 (12:12)**

North Dakota State takes the early lead with a 36-yard field goal by Griffin Crosa, following a well-executed play that set them up at Colorado’s 24-yard line. Cam Miller connected with TK Marshall for a 48-yard gain, but the Bison struggled to capitalize in the red zone, stalling after a six-yard run and an ill-advised pass to a tightly covered tight end.

**Bill Goldberg in Attendance**

WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg is on the sidelines for the Colorado vs. North Dakota State game. His son, Gage Goldberg, joined the Buffaloes as a walk-on middle linebacker three months ago. Goldberg, who has attended several practices in Boulder, expressed optimism about Colorado's prospects this season.

"I believe they’ll be a lot better than last year," Goldberg told CBS Sports. "They’re going to surprise a lot of people. But at the end of the day, if you don't win every game, you’ve fallen short. Deion wants to win it all, not just improve from last season."
