At least 22 people were killed in attacks carried out by gunmen in Pakistan.

Gunmen in southwestern Pakistan killed 22 people on Monday after forcing them out of vehicles and checking their ethnicities, according to government officials.

Najibullah Kakar, a senior official in the Musa Khel district of Balochistan, reported that gunmen stopped several buses and trucks on the highway connecting Punjab and Balochistan, resulting in at least 22 deaths and five injuries. He noted that among the victims were 19 Punjabis and three Baloch, most of whom were Punjabi workers.
