**UN Secretary-General Guterres to Address Global Impunity, Inequality, and Instability**
UN Secretary-General António Guterres is set to address the rise of “impunity, inequality, and unpredictability” worldwide, urging the 193 member states to embrace "more effective, inclusive, and networked multilateralism."
U.S. President Joe Biden will deliver his final address to the UN, focusing on "how the world should come together" amid ongoing wars in Ukraine, Gaza, and Lebanon, with his foreign policy legacy under scrutiny.
Other key speakers on the opening day of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) include Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
This year's gathering in New York City follows the UNGA's recent adoption of a resolution calling on Israel to end its illegal occupation of Palestinian territories within a year, a move hailed by Palestine as "historic."
