PARAMUS — When Malachi Goodman arrived at Paramus Catholic football practice on Tuesday afternoon, his teammates were already celebrating with the Penn State fight song.
“We Are,” Goodman said with a grin.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive tackle committed to the Nittany Lions on Tuesday, concluding a lengthy recruiting process that saw offers from Southern Cal, Ohio State, Auburn, and others.
Paramus Catholic coach Greg Russo noted the excitement among Goodman’s teammates as they welcomed the news.
NorthJersey.com filmed a "100 Yards" video interview with Goodman on Tuesday, capturing the moment he became the final major North Jersey football recruit in the Class of 2025 to announce his college choice.

Goodman, a four-star recruit according to most national services, cited Penn State offensive line coach Phil Trautwein as a key influence in his decision.
