The Palestinian Civil Defence reports that an Israeli air attack on a school-turned-shelter in Nuseirat camp, central Gaza, has killed at least 14 people, including women and children. Meanwhile, Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank have arrested 30 Palestinians across Hebron, Jenin, Ramallah, and Bethlehem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.
Despite the ongoing conflict, a vaccination campaign against the poliovirus for Gaza’s children continues in the north, facing challenges including Israeli strikes on UN health workers and vehicles, according to UNRWA.
The death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 41,084, with 95,029 wounded. In Israel, the number of those killed in the October 7 Hamas-led attacks stands at 1,139, with over 200 people taken captive.
Rescue efforts are still underway at the site of the Nuseirat school attack, where emergency workers are searching for survivors using their bare hands due to a lack of equipment. The Israeli military claims it targeted a Hamas command center, though no evidence was provided.
In a separate Israeli airstrike in Gaza’s al-Nasr neighborhood, three people were killed and seven wounded as they waited outside a bakery. Additionally, two civilians were injured, one critically, in an Israeli drone attack in southern Lebanon’s Tyre district.
Tensions continue to escalate as the humanitarian situation in Gaza deteriorates.
