Live: Israel's War on Gaza – US-made Bombs 'Melted' Bodies in al-Mawasi

World leaders have condemned Israel's bombing of the so-called Al-Mawasi "safe zone" in southern Gaza, which killed at least 19 people and injured 60 more, with the death toll expected to rise.

An investigation by Al Jazeera’s Sanad agency suggests that Israel used US-made MK 84 bombs in the strike. Gaza officials reported that the 2,000-pound bombs "melted" the bodies of those caught in the blast.

Meanwhile, despite the violence, the campaign to vaccinate Gaza's children against polio continues in the northern region, where Israeli soldiers have reportedly fired at UN health workers and rammed their vehicles, according to the head of UNRWA.

So far, at least 41,020 people have been killed and 94,925 injured in Gaza. In Israel, the death toll from Hamas-led attacks on October 7 stands at 1,139, with more than 200 taken captive.
