"How Israel's War on Gaza is Devastating Palestinian Education"


 "With 80% of Gaza's schools destroyed, students have already lost a year of education and risk losing another.

While the rest of the Middle East returns to school, Palestinian students in Gaza face a different reality. Their classrooms are either reduced to rubble or serving as shelters for displaced families. Backpacks, once filled with books, now hold the few belongings they have left.

Nearly 80% of Gaza's schools are damaged or destroyed, and the last university in the Strip was demolished by Israeli forces in January. What will these losses mean for Palestinian culture and collective memory?
