The Israeli army has stated there is a "high probability" that an Israeli airstrike in November last year caused the deaths of three hostages held in Gaza.
Meanwhile, medical sources have informed Al Jazeera that at least 12 Palestinians have been killed since dawn due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes across Gaza.
In a separate incident, a missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels struck deep inside Israel, prompting air raid sirens in Tel Aviv and central regions of the country.
Israel’s military has also ordered Palestinians to evacuate parts of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the move, claiming it could be a prelude to the annexation of Gaza for "settlement purposes."
In Tel Aviv, hundreds of thousands of Israeli protesters demanded the government secure a deal with Hamas to free the remaining hostages held in Gaza.
As of now, the war has claimed at least 41,206 lives and left 95,337 wounded in Gaza. The death toll from the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on October 7 stands at 1,139, with over 200 hostages taken.
